Some apps will not open iphone 6 plus#
Try these fixes before you take your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus down to the Geniuses at the Apple Store or a third-party repair shop. These fixes should also work for iOS 8, iOS 9, or iOS 10 if for some reason you’re currently running an older operating system. Today we want to share the most common iPhone 6 problems we’ve seen and offer fixes to those in need. Others continue to struggle on iOS 10, iOS 9, and in some very rare cases, iOS 8. While the the iPhone 6’s iOS 11 update is currently stable for us, others are running into iPhone 6 problems on Apple’s new software.

Both devices are currently running iOS 11.4.1 with an upgrade to iOS 12 in the works. The two devices received a number of important iOS 8, iOS 9, and iOS 10 updates and more recently they’ve moved to Apple’s iOS 11 operating system. And in the years since their release, Apple’s worked to refine their software. Its been several years since the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. With that in mind, we want to show you how to fix the most common iPhone 6 problems in minutes.

I’ve even went into the separate apps in privacy settings and again it doesn’t seem to realise that the apps even want access to photos.Apple’s fixed a ton of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus problems, but a number of issues remain. I’ve googled it a million times and nobody seems to have the same problem, and if they do they seem to have solved it by going to privacy settings. It’s really annoying me, as I can’t even upload photos to Instagram and that’s the whole point in Instagram! But I Deffo clicked “allow” when re-installing and no change.

I deleted Facebook and re-installed it, thinking maybe I clicked “don’t allow” by mistake when it asked to have access. It’s like it doesn’t realise these apps want to have access to photos and stuff. It always says “this app does not have access to your photos, you can change this in privacy settings” when I go to “photos” in the privacy settings, it says “apps that have requested access to your photos will appear here” but there’s nothing there. Hey there, ever since updating to iOS 11, I cannot upload a photo via any app. And at that point you can feel free to delete this comment.

Please edit this post to note that the first thing to try is to simply turn the phone off and back on again (it wouldn’t hurt to force quit all apps before turning the phone off but I’m not sure it’s necessary) as that solution is a) definitively non-destructive and b) seemingly more widely successful.

With all due respect to what I’m sure are nothing but the best of intentions, Digital Zen, I suspect that this tip is actually doing more harm than good for most people in that a) this resetting of the Location & Privacy settings might have some unwanted side effects (if you’re going to put that tip out there, the responsible thing to do is to investigate what those side effects might be for people or at least point them to resources where they can investigate for themselves) and b) it seemingly is doesn’t even solve the problem for most people and for those for whom it does solve the problem, it seems it’s likely not the best solution to the problem in most cases.
